Worldwide famous K-pop group BTS visited Washington D.C. on the 31th of May, during Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month. BTS met President Joe Biden and gave their thoughts on hate crimes against Asians and what might be the solution to it. The group also met Vice President Kamala Harris and discussed using their influence for a good cause.

The White House briefing was packed with journalists saying that it had not been this full in a long time. With the entrance of the members, hundreds of cameras clicked  and flashed to greet the group who were all dressed in black suits.

All members took turns speaking in Korean. Their English speaking member Kim Nam-joon, who is also known as RM began to deliver their speech in English. He began by saying “It is a great honor to be invited to the White House today to discuss the important issues of anti-Asian hate crimes, Asian inclusion and diversity.” One member of the group, J-Hope, also thanked their global fandom ARMY and expressed their gratitude towards the worldwide multi-national fanbase for making their success possible.
